2024 Scholarship Students

LCAC Scholarship Committee Chair Jackie Gaspar-Moore noted how important art is to the Les Cheneaux area, and she presented two scholarships to local students. Arlo Krino of Cedarville and Samantha Huyck of Pickford honored with $1,000 scholarships as they pursue higher education. Both artists had work on display during the reception.

Mr. Krino works with graphic ink and digital art and will be attending North Central Michigan College in Petoskey before transferring to a university. Ms. Huyck mainly works on digital two-dimensional artwork and will be attending the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Both were grateful to receive financial support for their ongoing studies.

The LCAC is currently accepting applications for 2025 Art Scholarships. The Advisory committee carefully selects local talent pursuing higher learning in the Arts to be awarded each year. If you are interested or know someone that would benefit from this opportunity, download our application today!
