ABOUT US

The Les Cheneaux Arts Council (LCAC) offers summer art classes and workshops in Cedarville & Hessel during the months of July and August. We are very excited about the variety of classes offered each year.

The majority of our teaching artists are either residents of the Les Cheneaux Islands community or summer visitors who come back year after year because of their love of the beautiful and peaceful setting. Our artists also reflect a commitment to the Arts and a dedication to the promotion, education, and participation in the Arts of Les Cheneaux.

The LCAC is a member of the not-for-profit Les Cheneaux Community Foundation. Funds collected through our summer classes, along with gifts received through the Les Cheneaux Community Foundation enable us to provide art scholarships to students in the Les Cheneaux pursuing the Arts in a specialized field of study. In addition, the Arts Council has supported the Les Cheneaux School system through donations to their fine Arts Programs, as well as, the Avery Arts and Nature Learning Center's Afternoon Art Program at the Hessel School House.
