The Guide was first distributed in 2015:
Available in print and online, the Summer 2015 Field Guide to Les Cheneaux pointed out activities offered by the historical society, cooking classes by the culinary school, workshops for artists, and outdoor activities.
The Community Foundation and the Arts Council planned the guide as a new marketing tool for nonprofits. Businesses such as Hessel’s Pickle Point, Woods and Water Ecotours added their events. The guide also covered events at the library, Bible school studies, and Les Cheneaux-area festivals.
It was organized by LCAC member Carol Hubbard and graphic designer Kelly Harman, funded with a $2,500 grant from the Les Cheneaux Community Foundation.
